How unique it is Islamic kindergarden in Singapore?

Fateh started schooling in Singapore since August 2018. So, it is just recentl, thus I dont have much things to comments. After all, these are few highlights that I am amazed of.

1) National Library Book
Every Friday, students will be given the chance to choose one of the book on from their classroom to bring home. Those books are from the National Library of Singapore collection. Students are required to read the books together with their parents and shared the stories on the next Monday. Parents will sign a card that indicates the books have been read and return. This activities will engage students and the parents. The students will have to read at least a book a week. For nursery students (4 years old), since they cant really read, yet, parents can show them pictures and let their imagination roll over the stories.

2) Class pet
For nursery class, there will be a rotation of bringing home the class pet. Fateh class has Terrapin name Ilbia. Students need to take care, feed the pet as well as change the water in the tank. Later, they will need to return back the pet on the first day of school together with a scrap books that captured their memories with the pet. Students with the help of their parents will write down the stories and putting up their pictures together.

3) For Parents Who Care
This kind of notes are really helpful especially for parents that really anticipate on what their kids are doing, More or less, it is like a syllibus of their learning. Parents can later ask their kids what they have learn in school.

3) Charity trip as a school trip
Why not having a visit to the Oldfolk house and the asnaf house. Its like killing two birds with a stone. It help to introduce to the students the value of giving, it can close up the relationship between school and parents by also contributing for the events and also it become a field trip for the students.

2)      Amalan sedekah menutup 70 pintu kejahatan.

Battleship Island review

Be it a cave, a tunnel, a room or even an island, I am afraid of a closed, unescaped, confined, limited spaces. It even has a name, it is claustraohobia. Due to that, i avoid being in small or crowded spaces let it alone yo watch a movie that based on a mining area.

A story of determination, preseverance, hardship, war, oppression and family, this movie sure bring many emotions to the viewers. I watched it on tvn movie a year after it was released in 2017. Although quite late, the movie sure catch my attention and time. Basically, its a story of Korean who being forced to be a labour for the coal minjng in Hashima Island, Japan. They have hone through lots of tortured, mentally and physically. They are several dominance characters including a father and a daughter, a samseng and US trained soldier. At the end, the mission is to bring home almost 400 Korean who were trapped in the island. It is sad that not all able to escaped, however many able to be in the boat that safe them from the tortured after the supervisor of the mining was died

Shopping comples with EXTRA facilities

Suprisingly, shopping complex in Singapore is very interesting. They got speacial services and facilities such as gymnasium, library, bus/taxi hub, free entrance playground (it can be dry/wet playgraound) and of course other normal facilities such as food court. The only thing that they lack off is the absent of praying room.

1) Public library
There are lots of public library all around Singapore. The libraries are advanced, interesting, equipped with latest books and are beautifully weel kept. Public can borrow books and return them to any public libraries branches without the need to go to the original library where the books were borrowed. I love when I saw the racks especially the kids section were filled with hard covered imported books. The library also provide the comic lovers a rack full of english comis that came from all around the world

2) Wet/dry playground
Isnt incredible where while you went shopping, your kids get the chance to spent their time at the playground which normally located at the rooftop of the shopping mall and its FREE. It is quite decent with the patrol of a safety officer and a rooms for kids to change theor wet clothes. It can accomodate up to 100 kids at a time where food, drink and pets are not allowed to be taken in. My kids sure having their fun time despite the hot sunny weather in Singapore.

3) Gymnasium
To keep the shopping complex alive, gymnasiums are open 24/7. It is bysex and was full with workers coming back from work.

4) Public area
There are ample of empty spaces for public activities to be done. We just went to a festival in Tampines hub where Majlis Ugama Islam Singapore (MUIS) organised an Islamic festival. There are lots of booth and games that was being handled by various committee and organisations. It is surely a great experience. The place is comfortable and easily reach by public trasport.

D Xandra house/car refresher/perfume

I am not the die hard fan of perfume. My husband was. He will buy dozen of perfume and deodorant every month to keep him smell good and fresh. I think it might due to man’s body odour is stronger than women and they sweat more compare to the other sex.I always  encourage him to buy long lasting perfume, used strong body talcum/powder or choose the stick deodorant rather than the liquid/spray tike since the latter finish faster. Not only body need to smell good, my husband also invest a huge amount of money on house/car perfume.

Normally what he will get is from supermarket where there will be normally in discount. Buy 2 for RM10. It is cheap but it does not give a long enough good fragrance. It might smell nice for couple of days but then it does not give a desired smell even it is stated it will last for a month.

My first experience with D Xandra house/car perfume is when we got it as a goodies/gigt from a wedding in Singspore. I sm very excited since this is our first time receiving perfume for a door gift. I would assumed that this is due to the currency exchange that makes a RM10 gift seems affordable in Singspore. We immediately tried it at home due to the eagerness snd it really does smell good. I cant really remember the name, but if I  am not mistaken, it is passion fine. It really smells good and last long! It smells fruity plus a little bit if fresh fragrance.

The good experienced brought me to buy another 8 bottles for my own usage. I rarely buy things in bulk but this is something worth to do since we always buy home fragrance from  supermarket. We try the roses type in our car and walla it turns our car into a flower shop. We bought as well the passion fruit anf forest something. The other type they we didnt buy is caramel, coffee and vanilla because i am afraid i might getting hungry from the smell😆

It is compact, easily fit everywhere, be it in the car, in the car, kirtchen and in the living room
The passion fine is really makes our room pleasant and fine

The range of smells that you can choose from. The packaging even has a positive vibes printed on it.

Gadget free activites with kids -participation guarateed

1) Hide and seek
This activity will surely can help your kids to practice on their numbers. Teach them to count number 1 to 5, show a demo for them to hide and the locaton that is appropriate to be ahiding place.  However, before playing, makes sure all electric appliances, doors are closed and kept all dangerous and items away. To be safe, its better to limit the place/area to be hiding. Its also can help you to control your kids and the searching process will be faster. It also can minimise the risk of kids being locked, fell or lost. The kids will surely have fun. My son even give me aspecific place to hide before he become the one that is seeking. LOR

2) Simon says/Ali kata
This activity will practice your kids vocabulary. Its better to play it in English. It also can improve your kids attention and social skills. Its really fun. Give it a try!

3) Ball game
What you needs is just a ball. Play soccer or netball. But please be careful with the easily broken items.

4) Dancing competition
It is not necessarily dancing competition. It can be costume competition, story telling, sports or even tv show. Play some music it will heat up the competition.

This is story telling we watch at the library. It can be something like this

5) Making ice cream
Its very easy and enjoyable. Lets your kids to choose the flavour. If you dont have any ice creamplastic or ice cream mould, just you a plastic cup. If you run out of .any cordial, you can use the fruits. It is even better.

My kids enjoyed their home made ice cream. It can save you lots of dollars too

6) Draw, draw and draw
Kids love to draw, be it pencil colour, marker or water colour or even a pencil can make them busy for an hour. The key rule is you must join them too.

Drawing can teach your kids to be creative

Tips travelling with kids on public transport

1) Bring extra clothes for your kids and you
Incident such as your children spilled drinks on their shirt, they pee in their pants, they felt down, they smacked their shirts with ice cream can really happened. Sometimes the just want to change their clothes due to them sweating so much. The extra clothes also needed especially if come pass through an open wet playground like the one they are having here in Singapore. Extra diapers are also things not to forget. Towel, wet tissue, napkin towel, handy fan also supposed to be on the list. They are surely something that will be used if your were to travel with kids.

2) Wear a sling beg (to put all the money, purse, metro card, tissue) and a backpack (to keep the clothes)
Sling beg come handy when its come to handle the public transportation fare. You dont want to be juggling with a huge handbag, a stroller and any bought items when you need to take off the train, buses or cab. Sling beg is easier to handle, compact and safer (from being steal) in case you are too busy with your kids. You also shall put some toys in your sling beg in case your kids got boring and needs your attention. Like me I also have a wristlet clutch beg where I put all cards (metro cards, house cards, pacifier, some tissue, some money, lip palm, lotion/uv proctector).

Please dont forget your kids accesories (pacifier, mill bottle)

3) Search for a handicapped sign on public transport
It doesnt mean that you need to be handicapped to use the facilities. It means that for those who in need. Mother with kids and stroller really needs a bigger space to park especially in train and buses. The sign means that there are bigger space provided with no seats available. So that, you can park the stroller in peace withour worrying disturbing other passengers.

4) Make sure your kids get to sleep
This is really important if you are out for the rest of the day. Restless kids means a higher chance for the kids to be cranky. We dont want it to be happen especially if you are travelling  for holiday. It will spoilt everybod's mood. Make sure the kids are comfortable and full. It would be good if you could spent sometimes indoor rather than outdoor to ensure that the kids get a quality sleep. The 30 minutes they spent napping will safe you for the rest of the day. They are just like handphone. The need to be recharge!

Comfortable stroller will get your kids to sleep

5) Study your itinery/route before starting the journey
If you are going to a new place, make sure you are well verse with the plan. Meaning to say that, you have some ideas on what bus number you are taking, which train line your are heading to and the most important is which exit you supposed to choose. Choose a wrong exit might cause you trouble because we dont want to get lost with kids in our hands. Print/print screen the route. It woud be faster than checking it on net. You might not be able to do the internet surfing due to the poor connection or you are at place where the is no connection such as underground or outside of the city.

6) Bring snacks
Kids always hungry and they need to refilll frequently. If your kid is still on bottle, please dont forget the milk bottle. If would be a huge trouble especially when they want to sleep. Bring biscuts or bread where they can handle it themselves.Chocolate is a big NO NO since it can make your kids T shirt dirty. Ice Cream is a life saver. Choose the cup rather than the stick ice cream to avoid the incident as stated in number 1 above.

Snack can help your kids to get busy

7) Appropriate clothes to wear
Choose cotton, easy to handle clothes. Lots of button shirt shall be avoided since you need to clean up your kids at public toilet if necessary. There is limited space in public toilet. You need to be fast and efficient in handling kids when you are in public.

Tinyworld twin stroller review

I have been using the stroller for about 3 weeks in Singapore. Having no car here,  we commute using buses and subways. Since i have 2 kids age 4 and 1 year old, double stroller really come handy. I really need stroller that is small, light and easy to handle since i have to travel alone when my husband is working. And the good thing, tinyworld meets those characteristics.

At first my choice is black colour since in my opinion it would be easier to manage and not easily worn out, however since there is no stock, then purple is my second choice. Furthemore, black can attract mosquitos as per seller advice.

What i can say about the stroller is it is manageable and my kids are comfortable in it. Both of them can fall asleep and have a good rest if we went out for the whole day. Only the backseat can lean half in order for the kids to lay back. So my kids takes turn to seat at the back and have their nap. The one in ftont needs to sacrify since it is not fully covered and it can be quite hot being exposed to the sun. I really recommend parents to have 2 handy portable fans to keep the kids comfortable and less cranky.

The stroller fits nicely the entrance of subway, supermarket and buses. It can even go through public places such as park, library and fast food restaurant where normally the spaces are small and crowded. I am happy and satisfied to have it. It just that i think it would need a regular maintenance and services since my 4 years old son is quite heavy and put much preasure on the tyres😅

I bought mine from Mr Terence from Tinyworld. He owns a shop in Melawati and normally kept stock for the double stroller. If you are far away from the shop, no worries he can sent and demo the stroller for you if you stay in Klang Valley. This is his number 012-569 5999. Hope it can help those who are searching for this type of stroller. The stroller is very useful to those who needs to travel on plane or train since it is easily foldable and lighter as compared to others double stroller.

My eldest felt asleep and get a good rest

The sister felt asleep despite the hot weather in Singapore. The stroller can manage backpacks and others stuff as well

Both having snacks on the go

Strolling in the evening became easier and less fuss

Other thing good about this stroller is the underneth part is wide enough to keep your groceries and kids bag. The things are firmly stay there eventhough we travel in and out of buses.

Interesting facts about Singapore

1) Dogs are everywhere. Back at home, we can see more cats than dogs around the public area. Here, in Singapore, dogs are consider not only as pets, but as part of the family and friends. Most of the dogs will be taken for a walk in the evening by the owner, some even have a speacial pram to carry them around.

2) Maids living together with the family is a norm. Many of them are from Philiphine, Indonesia and Mynmar. They normally will taken care of the family house chores. Some even will follow their master to hometown in Malaysia or going together on a holiday.

3) Main language in Singapore is English. Everybody needs to be able to speak and understand in English in order to survive since all signboards and everyday activites will be conducted mainly in English. While eldest Malays still can speak Malay, but there are few differences with the Malaysian Malay words such as bikin (buat/do) and bilang (cakap/inform).

4) Halal chinese foods can be found easily as compared to Malaysia. Chinese foods means foods that are less salty, less oily, more garlic = more healty. Drink will be soy based, jelly and longan.

5) Walking is a common things. Pedestrian are everywhere. There are many people with stroller, motorbikes or bicycle.

6) Quality of foods and fruits here are better. I try not to be suspicious but it is admitted by my husband where the Durian standard in Singapore is very good. When i went for a wedding ceremony, I am suprised to see they served a big prawn to their guest.

Denai Alam Recreciational and Riding Club

Jus tembikai laici pulak RM3.50. Aiskrim RM1 sebatang..ada macam-macam perasa, keladi, red bean, jagung, coklat..sedap jugak. Nampak ada pelanggan yang datang tu order maggi kari...amboi bukan main kau makan maggi dekat kedai..hehehe..

Kitaorang pun nak balik dah.
